The Soft Segmented Feed Roll Retrofit allows the rolls to conform to the curve of the cup rather than to place heavy unyielding pressure on the center of the board. The wide soft footprint of the soft roll spreads the clamping force over a large area reducing stress on the cupped boards. Small logs produce a higher percentage of cupped lumber than larger logs. This retrofit includes square roll shafts providing positive feed, five (5") inch wide roll segments that can be replaced or rotated in a short period of time and new roll yokes with removable access covers. Roll hoist rods remain in place and bearing fits are not disturbed during segmented feedroll upgrade. This upgrade is available for 612A, 612A1, 612MA, 612MA1, 612C, 612C1, 612CT, 612CT1, 614D & 614D1 Model Planers.
